Three films will be screened during the Film Week, including: Net Ve Tu Trai Tim (A Stroke from the Heart), Vang Trang Tho Au (The Childhood Moon), and Dao, Pho and Piano.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has officially issued a decision to organize a Film Week to commemorate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).

The event will take place from May 12 to May 15, 2025, in Nghe An Province, as part of the activities for the 2025 Lang Sen (Sen Village) Festival.

The opening ceremony of the Film Week will be held at 7:30 PM on May 12, 2025, at the Nghe An Folk Music Theater (30 Nguyen Sy Sach Street, Vinh City, Nghe An Province).

The film portrays the period from 1895 to 1901, when young Ho Chi Minh (childhood name: Nguyen Sinh Cung) and his family — father Nguyen Sinh Sac, mother Hoang Thi Loan, and brother Nguyen Sinh Khiem — first moved to Hue. Most of the cast members are from Nghe An, speaking with the Nghe dialect, including actors Tran Viet Bac and Ngo Le Quyen.

The three selected films for screening include: the documentary Net Ve Tu Trai Tim produced by the People's Army Cinema; the feature film Vang Trang Tho Au produced by Giai Phong Film Joint Stock Company; and the feature film Dao, Pho and Piano produced by Vietnam Feature Film Studio I.

Alongside film screenings, audiences will have opportunities to interact with artists and film crews at various venues. On May 13 at 7:30 PM, an exchange program will be held at Brigade 414 of Military Region IV and with residents of Nam Dan District.

On May 14 at 7:30 PM, another interaction event will take place at Vinh University (182 Le Duan Street, Vinh City, Nghe An Province).

The Film Week commemorating the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth is organized to express deep respect and gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh — the national liberation hero and world cultural figure — and to celebrate his 135th birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).

The event also aims to further promote education on Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and style, contributing to encouraging the study and practice of his teachings.

Moreover, the Film Week serves as a platform to promote the image of Nghe An Province to the people nationwide and to international friends. Through cinematic works, the event helps educate historical traditions, nurture patriotism, revolutionary heroism, solidarity, pride, and the spirit of self-reliance and national resilience.

The Film Week is one of the major activities of the 2025 Lang Sen Festival, a nationwide event. In 2025, Nghe An Province will collaborate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Public Security, and other provinces and cities across the country to organize the festival and inaugurate the statue "President Ho Chi Minh's homecoming".
