Deputy Minister of National Defense of Laos visits and works at Vietnam’s Military Region 4 Command
On July 29, a delegation from the Ministry of National Defense of Laos, led by Lieutenant General Saichay Kommasith, Deputy Minister of National Defense of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, visited and worked with the Military Region 4 Command.
Accompanying him were the his wife and the delegates from the Ministry of National Defense of Laos.
Major General Nguyen Ngoc Ha, Deputy Commander of Military Region 4, presided over the reception.
In his speech at the meeting, Lieutenant General Saichay Kommasith informed the leaders of Military Region 4 Command about some notable socio-economic achievements and the political and security situation in Laos recently.
The Deputy Minister of National Defense of Laos emphasized that, in recent times, the armed forces of Military Region 4 have regularly paid attention to and support the localities and armed forces of Laos in socio-economic development and strengthening national defense and security.
Particularly, the Military Region 4 Economic Cooperation Corporation has made significant contributions to the socio-economic development of localities in Laos.
On behalf of the Military Region 4 Command, Major General Nguyen Ngoc Ha, Deputy Commander of Military Region 4, expressed his sincere thanks to Lieutenant General Saichay Kommasith and the Lao units and localities for assisting the forces of Military Region 4 in carrying out their duties in Laos.
The Deputy Commander of Military Region 4 emphasized that the Military Region 4 Command always appreciates the attention and assistance from the Party, State, Army, and people of Laos, which have supported the forces of Military Region 4 in successfully completing their tasks in Laos.
He expressed his hope that in the future, the Party, State, Army, and localities of Laos will continue to support the Economic Cooperation Corporation and the teams responsible for repatriating the remains of martyrs of Military Region 4 operating in Laos to complete their assigned tasks.
Both sides will continue to have closer coordination in activities to deepen the special relationship, friendship, and solidarity between the Parties, States, Armies, and people of the two countries, Vietnam - Laos, Laos - Vietnam, forever green and everlasting./.
