Opening of the exhibition on cultural and heritage themes in Nghe An

On the morning of November 22, at Nghe An Museum, the Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports hosted the opening of several themed exhibitions: "Phu Tho - Nghe An, Connecting Heritage Regions", "Light Sculpture Art", "Ao Dai and Heritage", and the Lotus and Calligraphy Art Space.

Phu Tho, known as the origin of the Vietnamese people with the sacred Hung Kings Temple, is a land tied to the history and development of the Vietnamese nation. It is considered the cradle of the Hung Kings, taking pride as the "ancestral land" and a cultural hub preserving many intangible cultural heritages of the nation.

Nghe An, the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh, embodies rich cultural sediments from the early days of the Hung Kings founding the nation. Despite the geographical distance, Phu Tho and Nghe An share a close bond rooted in both legend and history, fostering a strong connection between these two lands.

The exhibition "Phu Tho - Nghe An, Connecting Heritage Regions" showcases over 200 valuable images and artifacts under two main themes. Theme 1: The Worship of Hung Kings and Xoan Singing in Phu Tho introduces two of Phu Tho's iconic heritages. Theme 2: Vi and Giam Folk Songs of Nghe Tinh - From Traditional Roots to Contemporary Life features over 100 lively images and documents, highlighting the origin, development and community vitality of these folk songs.

As part of the exhibition "Colors of Cultural Heritage, Vietnamese Landscapes and Traditional Handicrafts", organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism in collaboration with the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee and other related entities, the Hue Museum of Fine Arts is showcasing an Ao Dai collection themed "Ao Dai and Heritage".

At the Nghe An Museum, the organizers also present two unique works by young artist Bui Van Tu, the first in Vietnam to pursue a distinctive art form called "Light Sculpture Art". This combines traditional sculpture on handcrafted materials with light effects.

The first work, "Ky Uc Lang Sen" (Memories of Sen Village), portrays the familiar image of Sen Village through shadows of leaves, reminding viewers of their homeland and expressing respect for President Ho Chi Minh.

The second piece, "Khat Vong Viet Nam" (Vietnamese Aspiration), captures a youthful Ho Chi Minh with bright eyes, exuding faith and aspiration.

During this occasion, the organizers also exhibit and introduce lotus-themed calligraphy works paired with Ho Chi Minh's poems as a tribute to the beloved leader. This display, contributed by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam, a Hanoi resident, serves as a heartfelt homage to President Ho Chi Minh. The exhibition is a unique destination for lotus enthusiasts, calligraphy lovers, and those passionate about Vietnamese culture.
