Nghe An targets growth of around 9.5-10.5% in 2025

On the morning of December 5, at the 25th session of the Nghe An Provincial People's Council, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Bui Thanh An, presented a report on the socio-economic situation in 2024 and the socio-economic development plan for 2025.

Vice Chairman Bui Thanh An emphasized that thanks to the concerted and determined efforts of the entire political system, along with the unity and efforts of the people and businesses, the socio-economic situation of the province has seen very positive changes. It is expected to fully achieve and exceed 27 out of 28 key targets set for 2024.

For 2025, the Vice Chairman highlighted the following key targets: GRDP growth rate of about 9.5-10.5%; State budget revenue of 17,726 billion VND; Export turnover of 4.5 billion USD; Per capita GRDP of 71-72 million VND; Multidimensional poverty rate reduced by about 1-1.5%, etc.

To achieve these targets, the People’s Committee has outlined ten major tasks and solutions, including: Continuously reviewing and evaluating the goals and targets of the resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress and the 2021-2025 socio-economic development plan to strengthen direction and strive for the highest possible results.

Carefully preparing for party congresses at all levels, leading up to the 20th Provincial Party Congress and the 14th National Party Congress, while simultaneously formulating a socio-economic development plan for 2026-2030.

Effectively implementing the Action Program to realize the Politburo’s Resolution 39, the Provincial Planning Implementation Plan, and National Assembly resolutions on special mechanisms and policies to generate resources and momentum for provincial development.

Implementing synchronized and decisive measures to accelerate the disbursement of public investment funds and the three National Target Programs from the start of the year. Enhancing the efficient management of state budget revenue and expenditure and mobilizing all resources to execute key provincial projects.

Resolving obstacles for production and business activities, implementing comprehensive measures to support and boost growth across sectors and industries, and significantly improving the business investment environment. Leveraging opportunities to make breakthroughs in attracting investment based on recent momentum.

Focusing on cultural and social development while ensuring social welfare. Effectively managing, exploiting and utilizing natural resources, protecting the living environment, preventing andcombating natural disasters, and coping with climate change.

Proactively implementing the critical revolution of reorganizing and streamlining the administrative apparatus in accordance with the Central Government's directives. Enhancing administrative reforms and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of state management.

Ensuring national defense, security and social order. Addressing citizen complaints and resolving disputes from the grassroots level to prevent "hot spots". Effectively implementing the external affairs program for 2025.

Promoting information and communication efforts, enhancing public mobilization, and incorporating policy feedback to foster high consensus and harness the collective strength of society in achieving socio-economic development goals.
