11 Community art troupes participate in Festival ‘Vietnam - Colors of Heritage’
On the evening of November 22, the opening ceremony of the traditional folk art festival “Vietnam - Colors of Heritage” took place at the Nghe An Provincial Cultural Center.
The festival is part of the exhibition “Colors of Vietnam’s Cultural and Natural Heritage and Traditional Handicraft Products”, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the Nghe An People’s Committee, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and other related units, running from November 22 to 26 at Ho Tung Mau Pedestrian Street in Vinh City.
The festival features artists, performers, and folk artisans from 11 community art troupes representing provinces such as Quang Nam, Hue, Dien Bien, Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh, Bac Lieu, Bac Ninh, Phu Tho, Dak Lak, Nghe An, and the Vietnam Elderly Cultural Center.
The troupes will compete and perform folk and modern musical pieces, traditional Vietnamese ethnic instrumental music, solo, duo, and group folk dances, traditional Vietnamese ethnic costumes, and Vietnamese Ao Dai through historical periods.
Performances on November 22 included those by troupes from Quang Nam, Hue, Dien Bien, Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh, and Bac Lieu. Performances on November 23 will feature troupes from Bac Ninh, Phu Tho, Dak Lak, Nghe An, and the Vietnam Elderly Cultural Center.
The festival’s award ceremony will take place on the evening of November 25 during the closing ceremony of the exhibition “Colors of Vietnam’s Cultural and Natural Heritage and Traditional Handicraft Products.”
